About Jana Fisher : Jana Fisher is an independent singer-songwriter currently living in New York City. I saw her on Twitter and immediately loved their sound. She is a very talented artist who took his first album "A History of Sleepwalking" when she was 18. This album shows a wide range of musical talent that is more impressive given it was their first full length release.

Jana Fisher is a special Featured Artist for many reasons. First, she is the youngest Featured Artist so far, releasing her first album when she was only 18. She’s also the first artist to be a self-described “keytar advocate” and, perhaps most importantly, the first ever Featured Artist I discovered as a direct result of being a reader here!

In short, Jana Fisher is exciting. Sometimes it seems like there can be a lot of the same kinds of things in the musical world but she really manages to stand out in an interesting way. I look forward to seeing her success in the future, and I hope you’ll give her a listen!

In 2009, Jana packed all her worldly possessions into the trunk of the family car and high-tailed it to New York City to pursue a dream. The city lived up to its reputation and chewed up the naive Bible Belt girl and spit out a more articulate artist.
